Well… here we are again.
If you’ve been around the trading card scene in Australia for a while, there’s a decent chance you’ve bumped into us before. We’re Mark & Michael, formerly of the Funporium, where we spent a good chunk of our lives surrounded by cards, collectors, and the occasional chaotic release day that aged us both in dog years.
After selling our newsagency and online store the Funporium, we didn’t exactly ride off into a quiet retirement sipping tea and behaving ourselves. Instead, we’ve launched something new: Immortals Trading Cards. Same obsession, same community focus, just with a fresh banner flying overhead and a bit more ambition than is probably healthy...or sane.
Why Immortals?
Because let’s be honest… in this hobby, nothing really dies. Collections evolve, sets rise and fall, and somehow you’re always “just one box away” from completion. We figured the name fit. Why Viking inspired? Because they are awesome. Do we really need to say more?
We’re here to keep building something that lasts. Not just another store, but a place that actually feels like part of the collecting community...and the monies, lets not forget the human monies.
What We’re Building
Right now, Immortals Trading Cards is all about growing our range and bringing in the products and singles collectors actually want. NRL, AFL, Cricket, Pokémon, Disney Lorcana and plenty more on the way. If it can be ripped, graded, chased, or argued over in a group chat at 1am, we’re probably interested in it.
But this isn’t just about stock on shelves. It’s about continuing to support the community that’s supported us over the years. Whether you’re chasing hits, building master sets, or just enjoying the chaos of a fresh release, we want to be part of that journey.
Where We’re Headed
The goal hasn’t changed much from day one: build something real, something lasting, and something that eventually turns into a physical store we can proudly call home.
We’re not there yet—but that’s the point. This is the start of it. We have a lot of work to do and look forward to hearing from our great community on what we can do better or what we are knocking out of the park.
